((There is no Creativity Folder, so I will just post this here because it related to Misuterii High. I'll take it down if it's in the wrong area.)
The day that changed everything. It was at that night, at Six o'clock P.M. Nothing was wrong, not really. It was normal as always. We, the students, went to our classes, got detention, ate lunch, whatever we always did. It was a normal school day. Until, that is, school ended. A few students stayed behind for various reasons such as falling asleep, detention, clubs, so on and so forth. That's normal for each different class, isn't it? There's nothing wrong with something trivial like that, right?
There wasn't.
Until that announcement sounded.
A murder. A body. Was it suicide? We didn't know. We were just teenagers, just kids who, at the time, had no idea what to think about such a situation, because it would never happen to us. Yet, it did. Of course, we were curious, so we decided to find out more about what happened. I, one of the more invisible students, kept to myself. I saw brown hair, blue hair, red hair, pink hair. These students, like me, were trapped in here. What would happen?
Despite our fears, we continued to try to make things casual. They talked, I listened. It wasn’t all that bad. Unfortunately, they started to split up. Why were they splitting up? Didn’t they know that in situations like this, that would get you killed? I decided to follow the ones headed for the cafeteria, for that seemed like the safest option. A few stayed behind in the courtyard, but I did not want to stay with the bleeding corpse of our past teacher.
We checked the kitchen. Everything was fine. There was nothing wrong, really. It was as normal as normal could ever be. One of the students, I think with silver hair, checked the fridge. The other, a boy with goggles, went to wash his hands. I looked away for a moment, thinking to myself. How mundane, but, for some reason, things like this helped calm a person. Maybe it was because they knew how to do these things, so it couldn't possibly go wrong—
“…Where did my hands go?” piped up the boy with goggles, pulling away from the sink. At first, I thought he was joking. When looking back at him, though, I saw what he meant. My eyes widened, and I was terrified. His hands, up to his wrists, were gone. I opened my mouth to comment, only to hear a screech from the girl with silver hair. My gaze instantly snapped over towards the slightly smaller student.
She had jerked away from the fridge. She now hand four arms. Four hands. Twenty fingers. One looked more manly than her original pair. My eyes looked back and forth between the two students. I backed away, frightened. Wh-what? Without waiting, without even hesitating, I turned and fled from the two, leaving them to figure out what had happened. I was terrified. I’m sorry to say that I was a coward and left them.
After leaving them, I slowed to a walking pace. My eyes were on the ground. I didn't notice that I walked into a blue haired boy with rather long hair until he began to speak.
“…Are you okay?” he asked in a calm tone. I gasped, backing away and looking up a little bit. I looked to the side, smiling slightly and nodding in embarrassment. He let out a weak chuckle, going to flip his hair back behind him. He began to speak once more, in that same voice,” It’s fine. I’m sure everyone’s out of their comfort zone. We’ll be fine. I think we should wait till the police come…Oh, I don’t think we’re in the same class. My name’s Kazuki. What’s yours?”
I looked back towards him, pondering on whether to tell it or not. It was a strange situation to simply introduce yourself so politely, wasn’t it? I welcomed it, though, and answered.
“Miki? It’s nice to meet you,” he nodded his head, before pointing,” I’m going to go look for some of the others. You should come along. I think…I think it’s safer that way.” Oh good, someone who had the same thought process as me, perhaps?
We went upstairs and found two others. A girl with blueish hair, and another girl with black. I kept quiet as I always did, and all four of us decided to stick together.
We were safe. Together, there was nothing wrong. Sure, we were confused. We wanted to know what was going on. However, when I was with them, I could temporarily forget the horror in the kitchen, with that sink. I could forget that there was a corpse downstairs. Nothing was wrong now.
Oh how wrong I was.
Things went downhill when the black haired girl, Ranmaru, disappeared. We were heading downstairs, and she simply vanished. The remaining three looked all over the place, but we couldn't find her. Maybe she had wandered off. Yes, she wandered off…
I couldn’t keep this up. Eventually, the blue haired girl also disappeared. Then, the blue haired boy disappeared. My last crutches in this school were gone. No one else was left. I was left alone in a school that wouldn't open up for hours.
I was scared, so terribly scared.
I sat near the staircase where all of them vanished. I waited for them to come back, hoping that they would. It was dead silent. It was also cold. Maybe it was just me shivering out of fright.
I heard something, though.
It was tearing. Something was ripping. I heard sobs, quiet murmurs, and then silence. It had to be my paranoia. It must have! I looked up, hearing nothing more for a few more moments. Then, I heard multiple thuds. It was coming from the stairs.
I shakily turned my head, and then I wished that I didn’t. There my newly made friends were. They landed with a thump out of the stair well.
Their throats were torn. Their hands were bloody. Their bodies were cold. So, very cold.
They were dead.
I was really alone.
“Save me.”
