This is Happiness Project, a series of what I would hope to be Custom Modes that I will make that remains in a series and one universe. Let me explain here.
Happienss Project is a group of people who, in the normal, human universe, have no powers at all. They simply are a group of friends who help others and try to spread happiness while at the same time have their own quirks. However, in the universe that these game modes take place in, each member has a certain attribute to them that makes them special in their own way, and it also reflects their title. I'll give an example, here. You can even use these in the modes themselves if you want.
Super High School Level: Hope
This person is always full of hope and willpower. They never back down, and this passes onto those that are around them. No matter what feat is infront of them, they will stand and fight until the very end. That is why they are the leader of Happiness Project.
Super High School Level: Sleeper
This student is known for sleeping. A lot. However, they are able to force themselves to sleep for however long they want. They are also able to force themselves awake. They are also able to manipulate what dreams they have, and can recall those dreams near perfectly, as if they lived through it themselves.
Super High School Level: Gardener
This student is known for their gardening abilities. A plant has never died on them before, and they're even able to grow plants that aren't in season, and they grow at a very fast rate as well. It's miraculous.
Super High School Level: Hero
This student is known for their courageous spirit and their strength. Unfortunately, due to this, they break almost anything that they touch. Hero may be reckless, but they will pass on some of their strength to others if necessary. After all, a hero never fights alone, do they?
Super High School Level: Bad Luck
Out of all of the abilities and attributes out there, Bad luck probably is one of the worse ones. They simply cannot catch a break. One would think this isn't an attribute at all, but it indeed is. They are able to spread their bad luck to many others. They do their best not to, but it does sometimes come in handy.
As you would think, these modes base all around creativity and roleplaying, as are most of my modes. Thus, I want people to be able to enjoy the large range of abilities that they could have, though you can only have one, and please don't make it something silly, like instantly killing someone. I rather not.
The place that they meet in is not the school, but instead a place that they themselves rented and began to model. It is modeled after the school, but it really isn't. Why did they do this? Who knows.
After each mode starts, you must tell which character is which. Since this is a group, it is expected that everyone at least know whose level is who, for example.
'The Green Haired Boy is SHSL: Gardener!"
These modes are all Heavily based on RP, so I expect everyone to read carefully and follow the rules. I am very strict when these modes are being played, so being booted is pretty easy to do. Also, the group is a group of friends. In these modes, it's expected for you to work together with others. Even the roles that are given always do so.
I shall give the modes that are currently available Thusly:
Happiness Project: Imposter
You are Super High School Level: Mimic!
You have the special ability to copy another person's abilities and title once you kill them. You have done this for one of the members and taken their identity! You have done it again for one of the members, the leader, in order to steal their powers. However, it seems that they've found out what you did. What should you do? You could kill the others and take their abilities, or try to simply cover it up and play off as the person you first mimicked?
This mode involves the leader, Super High School Level: Hope, being murdered. There is an imposter among the group, and the group must find out who it is before they're murdered as well. The imposter is a person who was going to be invited, but unfortunately they didn't pass. Thus, no one really knows of their ability until they see it in action.
Happiness Project: Acid
You are Super High School Level: Toxic!
Ever since you were invited into this group, the short amount of time has been wonderful. However, you feel that your ability is getting the better of you. Something wrong went on, and your mind is slowly being clowded by the want to kill, kill, kill. You already killed the leader. The poison is slipping into your mind. The only way to get rid of it is to pass it off to another student. They would suffer the same effects as you, but you would be free...You have a knife that you can easily transfer the ability through. You just need to stab them.
This mode involves the leader, yes, Hope, dying again. She probably won't be living a lot in these modes. Happiness Project: Acid involves someone having an attribute that is slowly poisoning their mind. This is taking over their original selves and making them lust for blood. Toxic, the afflicted member, can pass this on by stabbing someone with their specialized weapon, but the person with the ability will soon rapidly start having the same affects. I, the mod, will be giving messages throughout the game.
You feel strange.
You want to hit something.
There's a need to stab something with this knife of yours.
You crave blood.
You can't resist it.
You need to kill.
You're finally mine.
After the last message, you are completely taken over by the bloodlust, and you turn into a coldblooded murderer without any hint of the person you once were. The bloodlust does reset when it is given to another person, though it is slowed slightly. Thus, you will need to tell me when or if the attribute is passed onto someone else. When the bloodlust takes over completely, it may simply transfer itself onto someone else that it's harmed without need of the knife.
Happiness Project: Memories
You are Super High School Level: Hope!
Ever since you were small, you always had the power to radiate hope. You were never going to back down to anything, and those around you always felt the same way. A few years later, you realized that it wasn't just the fact that you were simply...Strong in Willpower, but you literally DID radiate hope. Because of that, you decided to form a club. You knew that there were others like you. Now, the recruits are coming in. It's up to you to introduce yourself and make others realize how you can all work together. After all, you are the leader of Happiness Project!
This is a mode where Hope is actually alive and well, and one of you get to play as them! The rest of the members don't know each other in this one. They are complete strangers that were given a letter, and then you sent the form in. You received your title, and now you are in this school for the new club that you were invited to. What will you do here? You've always been strange from the beginning of your life. Well, my friend, this is the backstory of Happiness Project. Did it end well?
There is no dead body in this mode.
Happiness Project: Game Over
You are Super High School Level: AI!
You have been placed in this simulator by your creator, SHSL: Hacker in order to eliminate the other members. Their memories have been tampered with so that they think you’re an actual member, so you shouldn’t need to worry about that. You’ve been given two tools to help you defeat these people, but you must do it quickly, or else the real Game Master will delete the virus that you are! Luckily, your creator, SHSL: Hacker is able to manipulate certain things in the digital world. Hopefully to your benefit.
In this mode, all of the Happiness Project members have volunteered to try out SHSL: Game Maker's new game, a simulator that acts almost as if it were real life. You were originally just going to test out the effects and software, but something terrible has cut off your connection to the Game Maker. It is unknown if you die in the game that you die in real life. Still, it would certainly feel as if it were true. The dead body here is of the Game Maker, but they didn't play the actual game itself.
The quirk to this mode is that there is an AI and certain events will happen inside of the game, controlled by the mod or someone else if they so choose. The members have a memory of the AI being a regular member in their database, thus causing them to think they really are a real member.
If you have read to this point, please tell me in the game "Happiness ends in Death." This helps me know that you read the guide for realsies.
Happiness Project: Goodbye
You are Super High School Level: Hope!
It’s been years since you first began Happiness Project. The time has been bumpy and rocky, but at the same time, you’ve made such great bonds. Even through tough times, you have survived through it, made new friends, saved people, helped, given hope and courage. However, since everyone has grown up and most plan to go to different places in their life, it has come to the decision that you must disband. You called one final meeting. “Let’s meet again.”
This mode is much like Project: Memories. There is no killer, and everyone is bonding together in this mode. It's very much a calm mode. However, this is a mode in which everyone is slowly growing up and having to move away. It is about saying goodbye, and making promises and final preparations. This is the ending to the Happiness Project, but is it really the end? Maybe you will meet each other once more after this. You've been through years of hardships and bonding. Will you use those experiences? How will you react?
There is no corpse in this mode. SHSL: Hope is alive and well. Everything is at peace.
Happiness Project: Haze
You are Super High School Level: Timekeeper!
Again. You’re stuck here once more. You went on a mission with everyone else in this place in order to fulfill some mission, but by now you’ve long since forgotten it. You used to have only the ability to tell what time it was no matter where you were, but now you’ve realized your other ability. It is the ability to notice when time turns backwards. You don’t know how to stop it, but you need to somehow force the timeline to move forward. Over and over again, you’ve seen your team members die. Not again!
This mode is similar to Project: Acid, except for the fact that the role is not the killer role. The Timekeeper has the ability to hear the 'Haze'. The 'Haze' will drop hints and sometimes taunts, but hints none the less about the next death, or remind them about how a certain person died. How the Timekeeper reacts is up to them. Another person will also be able to hear the 'Haze', but they will have no idea what the voice is talking about yet until they connect the dots. The rest of the members are attempting to find out what exactly happened to Hope, who died while trying to warn them about something. Yes, Hope is dead once more.
Happiness Project: Madness
You are Super High School Level: Acid!
You were once the enemy to these people, and yet they welcomed you with open arms. You were able to settle your lust for battle and blood, and you were able to enjoy other things, even when you let Toxic take over. Yet, now, you have no idea what’s going on. Toxic is gone, and you can’t sense them anymore. That announcement just now, it wasn’t from you! Yet, you feel that they aren’t kidding. You’re already feeling your want for blood return. Will you give in, or will you try to save everyone else?
This mode is much like Acid Mode, except for the fact that Acid is in fact Neutral allied at the start. Even then, there is still a lot going on. The one that made the announcement wants you all to cause a blood bath. Will you? Surely, there is much to the threat. The one known as Acid in the announcements has the same ability as SHSL: Acid, though more spread out. What will help calm the one that made the announcement?
The body in the courtyard is not, in fact, Hope. It is SHSL: Toxic. Acid is in a body similar to Toxic, yet slightly altered. How this happened, well, you may have to find out. Toxic seems to have been ferociously beaten and killed, you can barely recognize them anymore. It is a warning of what is to come.
Happiness Project: Fate
You are Super High School Level: Reaper!
You are not a human, though you've experienced a life like that. You are a Reaper, a type of Shinigami meant to harvest souls. You were sent here a month ago, and was recruited into the Happiness Project. Your targets are the members. You don't know the reasoning, you aren't given a reason. You simply perform your job. You just started your job again after taking a life-time's hiatus as a human earlier, so you are slightly more emotional than most Shinigami. You have with you your weapon, a knife. While difficult to use, it does a lot of damage.
((Watcher Role))
You are the Writer!
You are the Shinigami who watches over the deaths of people. You write down who dies from what, but for some reason, these people are able to avoid what you write. You take form of a haze in order to communicate with the reaper down there, but you can't interact with them physically. You are also attempting to assist by causing certain events happen. However, your powers are weakened, and thus your powers are limited in this realm.
In this mode, something Supernatural is happening. Hope is dead, and we all know that something killed them, but what? The students are here just for another meeting, perhaps another scheduled mission. Now, though, the doors have been locked in mysteriously, and you're all trapped.
Super High School Reaper has the ability to regenerate health and summon their own weapon. They cannot be affected by any medicines or healing items. They're very old, but they don't exactly know why they're killing the Happiness Project, as that is not the job of the Reaper. It is up to the Reaper whether they are ruthless or show some mercy, just know that your higher up Shinigami may or may not get angry.
The Writer Shinigami acts like the Hazes in the Haze Mode, but restricted on how many events can happen, and all of the events are escape-able. This Shinigami knows /why/ the Happiness Project members are being killed off, but that is revealed when the role is chosen. Have fun, and try not to die!
