Tsukihime mode will be coming after Shiki mode, but I'm still undecided on how I want it to work. We could go the route of the original Nanaya mode in which we have a deathmatch amongst all the players with nanaya powers. We could also go the Pyrce route of pitting a Nanaya against a Vampire amongst the students. We could also go a fresh original route, which is what I'm leaning towards. I wanted to ask for you guys's opinions on this, see if anyone had any ideas they'd like to see.

Personally? I didn't really like Nanaya Mode or Vampire mode from PH or Mitadake. Nanaya Mode would have been interesting to Rp, but it was quite hard to, and Vampire Mode always ended up horribly because the vampires had Thirst to deal with. A new original route sounds interesting to me.

I've got a few ideas!
- Roles This should be fairly obvious, but refining it from Pyrce High's variation would be nice. Having only one nanaya, one vampire, so on. Maybe having a 'true ancestor' role in bigger games, and an 'executor' role?
- Vampire Abilities Bite was..well, horrible. Giving vampires higher stamina/hp reserves along with slowly regenerating hp, and perhaps a form of lifesteal in return for not being able to use medical packs could be nice. Also, when someone dies to a vampire, they could be brought back as an undead.
- Nanaya Abilities MEoDP isn't strictly necessary, but if it IS included, it should definitely be refined. Maybe a way of 'guaranteed critical hits' when attacking? Or giving people with MEoDP a high chance to do extra damage upon hitting?
- Undead.. Like vampires, can't use health packs and slowly regenerate hp, and are capable of restoring their hp (half as much as a vampire?) by using something like a 'bite' attack for lifesteal. Doubled movespeed and halved attack speed, maybe? They also couldn't use weapons.
- Magicians? I think the possibility of having one or multiple randomly generated 'magician' roles with different magical abilities could be really fun, actually. Especially in bigger games, where a magician isn't supposed to use their magic openly, risking exposing non-mages to the secrets of thaumathurgy.
That's all I've got for now, I'll be following the thread though! I hope to see great stuff from the game.

I think one of the most important mechanic refinements would be to make dashing less of a clunky pain in the ass to use. For the love of fuck, make it so you can double-tap an arrow key to dash that direction. Everyone will thank you just for that one simple addition, because clicking the dash command is so irritating to do when you're also trying to click at a moving target so you can stab it.

Expanding on the reply of VVendettas: Undead are rare occurrences in Tsukihime (due to the time and Magic Circuit needed to become one), but they would be interesting to have. Vampires have tons of abilities as well, especially true ancestors. "Magicians", like Aoko Aozaki, and Church members, like Ciel, could also play a part in the mix. MEoDP is also a rare occurrence (and not a key trait of the Nanaya clan), through near-death experience, that could be added. The rare occurrences could be special roles that don't happen every round, just happen by probability. Also, the double-tap dashing is possible. I already have an idea on how to do it. Overall, Tsukihime mode is the one that I would know most about, so don't be afraid to talk to me for ideas. I'll also probably be programming the majority of it if Frosty doesn't get extra help with it (I hope not, as I love doing a lot of game programming), and it is a passion (Favorite series) inside of a passion (Programming), so it is a win-win situation. Hope all of this doesn't come off as boasting in any aspect, though xD

The original Nanaya mode in Mitadake was just dang unplayable unless you wanted an all-out brawl for no good reason and a quick match. Even then, the abilities were kinda hard to use. I'm thinking a fresh take would be the best option, although I'm liking some of the ideas I hear here pretty much. Honestly, anything that would just give us more substance for a good RP session without people dying of thirst or an all out murder-brawl from the get-go would be great.
