Hey just because the game is japan theme'd doesn't mean there's no racial diversity! I think there should be a skin color option in the options! I'm black, I want my character to be black too. It shouldn't effect the hair colors either.

It's not because the game is Japan themed. It's because the game is Anime themed. There aren't that many anime with racial diversity. Also, it'd be really hard to make a player have icon diversity.
Also, that's sort of like it was on Pyrce. Which was kind of stupid with custom icons.

This has actually been discussed by a few of us ingame before. It's not Kam or Frosty but one person was of the opinion that if such an option is added we'd end up with a lot more racist stereotypes coming into play than people legitimately using the feature. I personally believe that to be a legitimate concern.

To be Perectly Honest, We are avoiding different skin colors for the sole purpose that when we do get them, What do you think is going to happen?
People are going to RP offensively, Racistly, and basically be the form of "Steriotipical" Black Person they think of, Because thats what people do.

You could just treat that racist shit the way you do everything else wrong with the people playing and doing stupid stuff.(Aka nothing, cept for maybe cybering iv'e seen that stopped.) SO yeah, you know what people do(and have always done on this game) so reading over this I was thinking 'typical shit' and that's not stopped features from being added before. Also, for the 'it'd be hard to do' excuse all you have to do is have a feature that puts a layer of color over the icon. These posts seem like BS reasons to me.

For one thing, I think it's important to remember that your character isn't supposed to represent you the player as you are in real life. To me, the icons are like individual characters who stay visually consistent no matter who's playing as them and that's something I like about them. For another, it's not as simple as adding a feature that puts a layer of colour over the icon, because the hairs are attached to the heads and you would need an individual skin overlay for every single character to avoid covering up their hair. I have made overlays for the sake of madoka mode, but those are entire heads and thus include the skin colour. So don't take this as me wanting to exclude diversity or anything because that's not the reason this won't be added. However, in our next game which'll feature more intricate character generation there WILL be multiple skin tones, so look forward to that :)

How about you just add a character that's black in both sexes?
Possibly skin two other icons in favor of these. I'd want to be able to add some cocoa puff to Shifune's milk.

Firstly, people have actually been doing stuff about people doing idiotic things ingame. I've seen plenty of bans and boots taking place.
Secondly, none of the features added have, to my recollection been things that would specifically spurn this kind of behaviour on. In this case the addition of the feature you request would do just that.

Actually, it's not hard to implement. At all. It's the easiest thing ever. Really. But the characters should stay the same. If anything, you should ask for a dark skinned CHARACTER, not option. Else it'd be character customization, which we wish to avoid.
