A auto-follow command where people can go up to people and ask to auto-follow them like the request search button, therefore to prevent people from auto-following people in a chase.

This would be useful mainly to accurately simulate people being carried or dragged by another character. In fact, maybe this should go both ways: You could either request to autofollow someone and also could request someone to autofollow you.
Some suggestions about the behavior of this command would be as follows. Assuming that A is being autofollowed by B:
A is allowed to attack anyone in his range. However, if A attacks anyone other than B, there is a chance that the autofollowing will stop. B cannot attack anyone but A. However, if B attacks A, the autofollowing will stop. Others can attack either of them. However, there is a chance that the attack will hit the other person (as in, if you click A, you might end up hitting B instead and vice-versa). Whenever A attacks B or B attacks A, they will deal extra damage to each other. Whenever A or B is attacked, there is a chance the autofollowing will stop.

I've never been a fan of a follow command in RP games that use commands to attack. This can go horribly wrong.

Sounds like a great idea, to auto follow people. Saves the trouble of losing direction when they ICly pull you away.

Question. What if this was used on a role character that is supposed to be able to go invisible? For example, the witch? Wouldn't the person keep following said witch, making the toggle butterfly verb useless? and yes, the person has to accept the following but what if they did accept it and went invisible? It wouldn't make logical sense unless they made the following command where the person can't follow the other person unless visible. And then also perhaps constantly hitting the walls like on every turn when following someone, making the person probably go back to the person again? Or perhaps turning back and being blocked by the person following you constantly, making it perhaps even abusable? I like the idea but I think it would require a lot of thinking on how to set up the mechanics on it.

An alternative to this which will probably be in is a drag verb for conscious players. It's just like Request Search and search verbs, one works on conscious players while the other works on unconscious players. The difference would be that the players would move at full speed and that both players can cancel at any time. I'll think I'll create that today and see how well it is received.

Looking forward to seeing that then.
