For anyone who might be interested: me and a couple other people are starting up a RP-heavy server, where the focus would be more on the actual RP aspect of players' interactions with one another and less on straight-up PvP than usual. As a result of this, PvP would be turn-based, and attack success would be decided via dice roll.
As of right now, my plan is to put the server up each weekend for anyone who's interested in this type of gameplay. Each Friday night, I'll put it up, and each Sunday night at around midnight, I'll take it down. If enough people show interest, I'll create a skype group (which could be used for other games as well for whoever's interested).
As it says in the subject, the server is called Bane High. If you want to contact me to ask anything, my name on BYOND is Jesus Juice Jr. My skype username is jakelo97 (the current name I have set is Legacy of Jeb).
In addition, here are the rules/guidelines in the server's MotD:
#1 - You MUST emote your actions. Whether you are cooking food, performing an attack, or searching through a container, you must emote it, detailing your actions.
#2 - Do not go upstairs, or down into the basement, before 7 PM.
#3 - God-moding will result in a boot. Multiple offenses will result in a ban. For those who are unaware, god-moding is performing an action that cannot be resisted in any way, or making your character resistant to any action.
#4 - Show respect to your fellow players. Do not go out of your way to insult anyone, or to start a fight OOC.
#5 - No ERPing. It's against the BYOND ToS, apparently.
#6 - Do not hoard items. You are permitted to carry two of any item, but no more.
#7 - No chatspeak IC. Try to use proper grammar and spelling as much as you can in-game.
#8 - If you believe a mini-host is being abusive, please report it to the host via PM or skype.
#9 - Combat on this server is turn-based. Use this (https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm). Go to the one that says "d20" and click roll. If your number is above 10, your emoted attack was successful, and you may hit your enemy. If it was below 10, your attack failed, and your enemy may block or dodge (via emote). You must include the number you rolled in your attack emote. For example - "The Boy with a Bandana swings his knife at the girl! (11)" After you attack, you MUST wait for the other person to respond.
