To the students in Misuterii High, it's another day. There have been some good people, some bad people. Of these people, one person that always stood out to the students of the school was a person that has the nickname 'Yōkina-Chan'. An affectionate nickname for someone that, as far as the school knows, is without much fault. They are a cheerful person, and known to help out anyone that needs it.
Yet, we all know that no one is perfect.
Roles:
You are The Guilty.
Throughout your life, you've always blamed yourself for things bad happening around you. First your mother dies at your birth. Your older sibling dies protecting you from a car, which you barely survived, anyway. Your father hates you because you're simply not your older sibling. You understand that you're the cause of grief of everything. While you know this, you still try to be happy, and you put on a smile for everyone. People know you as 'Yōkina-Chan', because you make others around you happy, at least in school.
You don't want to harm others, but you have a feeling that your bad luck will destroy the life of someone precious.
You are The Jealous.
You wish you could be someone else. Some days, you wish you could just take someone else's face and become them. You're boring, you're predictable. You wish, maybe, just maybe, someone would look at you. That is, you wished. A person by the nickname of 'Yōkina-Chan' sat next to you one day during lunch and began a conversation. They were so kind. You were jealous for how easy they could get along with someone.
Upon entering the courtyard this evening, you saw the teacher. Though, you blacked out afterwards, and now you're back in the classroom. Did you...?
You are The Taker.
The students in here confuse you, often times. It might be due to the fact that you have yet been a human, or it might be because you're simply incapable of understanding. You are a Shinigami, tasked with bringing those who are meant to die to the Guiders, those that help spirits to the other side, where they belong. You took the teacher's life, for it was her time. Yet, something strange appears to be happening to your powers. A student entered just as you were performing the act. Some of your power left then. Could it be that they accidentally absorbed it? Nonetheless, you are tasked with finding a certain person. This 'Yōkina-Chan'', and end them. They are causing problems to your siblings. You might need to deal with the others, even if the extra casualties will anger the higher ups. It's better than to leave witnesses. The student who took your powers might also be a problem...
You have with you a sphere that shoots projectile beams. It's strong, but takes a lot of energy out of you.
In this story mode, The Taker, the Shinigami, is out to finish off the rest of the students, Especially The Guilty. Why they're here to do that job their own is strange, as that's usually left up to The Reapers. It's not explained, however.
The Guilty is a popular person. Though, they don't believe themselves to be worthy of such a title. They're known by everyone, and envied by some others.
The Jealous is a person that watched the death of the teacher, though they have no idea who or how they did it. Upon blacking out, their yearning caused just a bit of the Shinigami's power to seep into them. They feel stronger over time, and they gain a strange weapon...
