"I won't repeat myself. That's an order"
So Zantus just created another mode known as Government Intervention. I've often been fascinated by Zantus's modes, because they have interesting lore.
Speaking over it, I asked what and why they would even massacre an entire school. He then proceeded to link me to this.
Obviously I was confused about this. Why did they have those words squared? Then I realized the maker of the song. Tears. Tiara is the creator of that song. Do you happen to know what other Song was made by her? Sayonara, the very same song used in all Glitch Modes. Now, that may sound like a stretch. However, do you remember looking at the role of the DIS Officer? No? Let me give you something.
The DIS Officer (The Grey Haired Officer and/or The Black Haired Officer) (Only in Glitch, GlitchB, GlitchD, Glitch New and both characters if GlitchC and Glitch VS)
- An officer that's never truly experienced in the elimination of Glitches, but only through simulations due to the lack of Glitch appearances since the first case, which was thirty decades ago involving a massacre performed by a single Glitch. This led many from the past days to believe Glitches are really just evil and dangerous until they became an urban myth, though the DIS, Digital Intervention Squad, was formed shortly after the massacre.
A Massacre that happened. Before the DIS was created. BEFORE many, if ANY people knew about what Glitches were. Could it be possible that the government had lied about the Massacre? About, really, the truth behind that pile of dead bodies?
Zantus himself hinted at the branching between the two game modes. I'm not that heavy of a thinker, but looking back on it, did you read Glitch Prequel, by any chance?
GLITCH PREQUEL
Glitch Prequel takes place during the rise of Glitch cases or may even be one of the first Glitch cases so the actual Glitch popularity isn't as wide, but can be known of - meaning, not relatively many people could know about Glitches compared to Glitch Mode but this isn't enforced.
Now look at Eht hctilG's description.
hctilG ehT (The Boy with Earphones)
- Similar to the Glitch, he is able to use his abilities with stability and decided to go to school - with another purpose. Although he ended up having to kill a teacher here, his purpose is to meet the Glitch and warn her, that she is the one of the last Glitches to be found in Japan. (Or something like that. Also, he's kind of antagonistic.)
Why is this important? Remember that Glitches at this time are almost unheard of. There had to be a reason why there were only Two in the entirety of Japan. Maybe the government killed the glitches, whom they did not know were Glitches at the time, in the Government Intervention Mode? I'm just speculating here, of course.
That being said. Glitch Prequel takes place before any of the others. It is Canon. I was told that GlitchB, Glitch C(Part of it), and GlitchD were NOT canon. Glitch Versus is, not that we've played it very much.
So what happened to make the Glitch population jump? Why can Glitches not hold their true form like they originally could? Maybe they were weakened? Or did they evolve? The history of Glitches is extremely vague, and thus I cannot answer that. However, I do know some facts that I do believe can be concrete.
The Glitch Population has Increased since Glitch Prequel.
The Lover in Glitch knows more than he lets on.
Glitch powers change.
The Government is an asshole.
If you have more to add, I'll gladly hear it out. I'm interested in hearing things you think of in the story. I may sound like a nerd for this, but I just love these modes. I hope Zantus continues to make them. And I hope he stops 'Doo dee dooing' at me.
