So, being in a school and all, people are bound to have notebooks. I was thinking, since in this game (if it won't change) the icon seems to look like a book, you could pull notebooks or books off the shelves in the game giving the shelves an actual purpose for once and also making it harder for the detective to locate the true Kira. Not to mention, you could have multiple pages in the notebook to write on and tear out.

Sounds interesting and cunning. I have to admit, I sort of like this idea. Not going to get too overcomplicated with it though, their could be a mistake here and their that the fake deathnotes have the same power as death notes. Personally I would label it, "Notebook" but people would take this into consideration OOC and not believe it IC. They can be paranoid or just plain stupid about it haha.

Not sure if I understood, so let me see...
Basically, you're suggesting that we should be able to write in the Book items, as well as tearing off pages from them? If I understood correctly, then I don't see a reason to disagree.
Might as well suggest hiding paper sheets in the DN/books while I'm at it, so there could be a DN page mixed in the pages of a normal Book, as well as a normal page mixed in with DN pages.

It's basically having regular notebooks in which you can tear out or write on pages, just like in the DN, yeah.

I see, I see. It's just that there are already Book items in there, which was what had me confused.

So instead of having to collect new sheets of paper every time you want to jot something down you grab a notebook and your good to go? I like this idea. Though I'm a bit confused about your suggestion super3222. How would the book "accidentally" kill someone if it's your typical composition notebook? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of having regular notebooks lying around? I think Kikari meant for it to attract the attention of the student body, not to kill them along with the original murderer xD. Regardless I think this idea should be considered if it hasn't already.
