I'd like to round up the character count to 32 characters, 16 for each gender, like I originally intended. We're currently three short on that so I figured I'd see if anyone wanted to contribute to that. The three remaining aliases are; "The White Haired Boy", "The Girl With Ribbons", and a wildcard accessory girl Preferably, the white haired boy should have long hair, and the girl with ribbons should have short hair of this colour and the ribbons of this colour but if you can think of something better for either of them then that's fine. As for the wildcard, she should have an accessory like Shades and Goggles do. I don't know what this should be so feel free to come up with something and I'll see if it works. The base is here. Make your submissions in this thread and we'll see what happens! |

I've tried making a white haired boy icon, and while the first attempt didn't go so well, this is the second one. Feel free to comment on it.
Edit: As was suggested, I've corrected the frames facing south (or so I believe).

Mm. Lovin' on that white haired boy by Frog.
Was gonna do one for white, but that's pretty much what I had in mind, if not even better than I hoped for.
Consider that one, for sure. It has the most character of all the white haired boys so far, in my opinion.
Mm. That's gonna be my new favorite boy icon.
Other than that, I really liked Pond's Eyepatch girl, and Sawrock's goth girl. The goth girl could use a little more work, but the design is there. Give it more shading and bring out it's texture.

Yes, so far, Frog's White Haired Boy is my favorite of all the submissions and unless someone submits a better one it will very likely win :p
One more thing I want to mention is that I like the concept of the eyepatch by Pond, but I think the hair colour is too neon-bright and doesn't place much emphasis on the eyepatch overall. I would think it should stand out, given the alias.
To anyone who's still planning to submit anything, you still have time although I wouldn't leave it for too long. If you can't get to it just yet but you still want to when you get the chance, just leave a post so I know that there's still more submissions to come.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure why I even did these. They're not that great, and I could probably improve them if I wanted to. But, y'know, it's whatever. First, there's the incredibly original GLASSES GIRL. Yeah. Eyewear. So clever of me. The Girl with Glasses.dmi (2.78 KB) Then there's this, which I kinda just did for the heck of it? I'll probably laugh if this ends up winning. The Girl with Ribbons.dmi (3.03 KB) And I didn't bother with the boy because let's face it, Frog's got that one down. yeah. |

Okay, so I took all that criticism to heart and here is my new improved Eyepatch Girl! [EDIT:] Puck gave me some pointers, so here's the (hopefully) final version! The Girl With An Eyepatch Mark Three.dmi (2.77 KB) Featured: - Darker, less obtrusive hair.
- Larger, more noticeable eyepatch (with attaching string!).
- Better hair integration.
- EVEN BETTER HAIR! (Many thanks to Puck for that!)
I do hope this is better, I put a lot of work into it. =3 |
