I'll start off by saying I do not in fact have anything done for this, aside from the concept, so if anyone wants to lend their coding (and possibly spriting!) ability to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
The basis of the mode is simple. A bunch of students locked in a school, having to kill each other to escape. Sounds like any other mode, right? Well, that's where the roles come in.
SHSL Despair: You are the Super High-School Level Despair! Your job, or rather, passion, is to coerce all of these chumps you call classmates to fall into despair. The easiest way to do that, of course, is to turn them against each other! Your goal is to eliminate all of the other students by manipulating them into murder. Among the tools you have to do so is the Monokuma unit! You can take control of it for as long as you want, using it as a face to talk to the other students while keeping your identity hidden. The catch is, you can't move yourself while you're using it, so you should hide when utilizing it or risk having your identity uncovered. That would be bad!
The mole: You are the mole! You've been employed by the SHSL Despair to infiltrate the ranks of the students and cause chaos from within. Use whatever means you can to stir distrust and unrest, you can even go so far as committing murder yourself! Just don't get caught.
Notes for the mode:
Monokuma would either function like Kyubey (the SHSL Despair being replaced by them until they stop using it), or the SHSL Despair would cease moving until they stop using it, at which point the Monokuma would disappear. The first one would be a bit difficult to impliment, though, since I had it planned that if the Monokuma unit gets too damaged, it would explode (dealing around 20% damage to anyone in a small radius.) Alternatively, it could be a command, but it would leave the Despair without a Monokuma for a little while. Maybe around five minutes.
If possible, the Despair should be able to hear what's both near their physical body, and what's near the Monokuma unit.
The only custom spriting work required would be giving Monokuma his own sprites.
Students can pick whether or not they have a Super High-School Level title at the beginning of the round, but if they choose not to they can simply be someone from the Reserve class.
Different from Happiness project, SHSL titles should only be things you can do. (with the exception of Good Luck.) Fashion idol, Detective, Hall Monitor, Dancer, things like that. Not all of them have to be job related, though. There's a few gang members, as well as a video gamer, in the source material.
As far as mode music goes, I was thinking either Distrust or the opening theme from the second game.
(Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, by the way.)
