This is an idea that's been stuck in my head for a few days, after reading things and wanting things and all the like. Yeah. A better name for this mode is probably in order. So in this, there are two roles, possibly three. One who I need a name for, the Imagination, and POSSIBLY, the counselor. Possibly. I don't know if the two on their own are overpowered. Anyway, getting to the point.
The 'Thinker' or 'host' or whatever you want to call it.
This is the.... actually he's technically completely neutral. He could be considered the 'protagonist' though.
You are the [Insert Role Name Here]!
By whatever strong emotion you may have gotten over the course of your life, whether it be boredemn, angst, or pure loneliness, you conjured up someone to help you get over this - [Imagination Name], the [Imagination Alias]. However, you knew this person was not real; but the feelings got so strong, so overwhelming, that they actually manifested physically in your world, from which point on you may have forgotten all traces of that they were simply an imagination, and you may actually believe them to be a real person yourself! However, what you did not know is that this person may hold some dark secret in their feeling for you...
This person has two general 'powers'.
Thinking: This is a special realm of speech which can only be heard by you and the imagination. It can be a bit meta if you are roleplaying as if the two of you were some creepy twins (ex. "thought: I'll say 'we are' and you say 'one'"). Don't drag it further than that, though. As nobody else can see it, you aren't OBLIGED to make it overly immersive. It's used as a form of communication between the two of you, and ICly, neither of you see it as peculiar or odd you can think amongst eachother.
Existence Demanifestation: If you die, so does the imagination. That's about it.
Will to Live: Because someone else automatically dies when you die, you are obliged not to suicide. Ever. Even if the- I'm gonna shut up and move to the imagination now.
The Imagination
The technical killer of this mode. They are not absolutely obliged to do so, but some people might find some reason to want to finish this person off, and after failing this several times, might head to the thinker to finish the job.
You are the Imagination!
By whatever strong emotion that has been gathered over the course of their life, your creator, [Thinker Name], the [Thinker Alias] has conjured you up. You are an imagination, and you know it. You are not real, but you somehow... are. This brings you along to have some special quirks. You care for the person who made you somehow, even if you refuse to show it, or maybe you only like them because they are what keeps you existing. You also know that if people find out you are an imagination, people will take action. It's best to keep it hidden - but just to make sure, it might be best if you.... 'did something about it'.
They have quite a few special things about them, possibly even being considered overpowered. This is why a possible 'hero' of the round will be mentioned.
Thinking: As mentioned above, thinking is a slightly-meta chatlink between you and the thinker.
Sudden Existence Failure: If the thinker dies, so do you. Simple.
Reintegration: Time to get interesting. When you supposedly die by someone elses hands and not the death of the thinker, your body remains for a long while, but your spiritual form goes back inside the thinker to regenerate very slowly. You can also do this at will, in which your physical form will vanish instantly. You can then see the world from his eyes, but not control him. Unless...
Possession: You might be psychologically controlling of the thinker. You can 'request to take control' of the thinkers body if you are currently inside their head. They are blacked out for the time being but can still think, nothing else. Don't do this for too long - they need some time for their character. Also, during this, your actual spiritual form stops regenerating, but you have the combined health of eachother.
Okay, yeah, that's overpowered. So....
The Counselor
Technical hero of the mode. They are unable to perceive the imagination in any way whatsoever, but if the imagination is particularly controlling of their 'host' or even other people, they might manage to take him out... And what's worse, you know something is off about the thinker - that's why your here, and once you figure out the problem, chances are, you're gonna have to try and convince them to...
...commit suicide.
You are the counselor!
You are here at this school to deal with an odd case of possible hallucinations regarding a [imagination alias], which records indicate do not exist. Something is particularly off about the [Thinker Alias], though. You think you should check it out. However, you soon begin to realize these may not be hallucinations alone, but simply something you yourself are unable to perceive. And worse come to worst...
The counselor is not TOO special power wise, but they have one minor thing that can literally turn the tide: The inability to perceive the imagination in any fashion. To clarify, they cannot see, hear, or feel this person. They walk right through the person, they take no damage from the person, and they cannot hear the person. This allows him to freely counsel the Thinker without some psycho trying to rid of him/her with their own hands. However, other hands might be trying to take you out...
So, does this sound any good? Bad? I'd like comments c:
