Mystery Script Fix/ Revival Thread!

Yandere is still an active mode, and I believe Vee did not wish for Ookami to be released publicly, when last I checked.

It is probably a good idea to not recreate people's modes unless they've specifically given permission for them to become public.

Allow me to rephrase. Yandere was last played two days ago, and was working properly at the time. As for Ookami, it was available on Tanasinn's server because Vee was a minihost there. I recall after the migration that Vee said the reason Ookami was not available on Frosty's is because we weren't trusted with it.

Anyways, I agree with Aquan. By law, if the piece of work does not have a copyright license or such, it has a default copyright of requiring the owner's permission before recreating. Copyright is opt-out, not opt-in. Now, what I mean by recreating is explicitly taking things straight from the work. If you just take small ideas, fine. Nobody's going to stop you. But the big picture? Not gonna happen. Note that this does not apply if the mode was based off of, say, an anime. Anyone can make a Psycho Pass mode, for example. See copyright laws for more information on that, there's a blurry line between stealing and creating a spiritual successor/fan-game/getting ideas from the work, and as such, it is difficult to explain.

Please note that by default, your content is open-source (I mean, I could encrypt it, but why?), so anybody can look at it.  But they shouldn't steal from it.  It's my bad for not having a general license for Mystery Script work, so it is unknown whether Mystery Script work belongs to Nickr5, me, Frosty, the creator of the mode, the Misuterii community, or the general public.  I have the right to change this in the future.  I have the rights to Mystery Script, barring the part that Nickr5 made, which I can remake, and the fact that it is in Misuterii High, which Frosty has rights over (not going into details with Dev and such), as well as the fact that was made in DML (BYOND), which I can port over to another language.  Same with 99% of Misuterii's code.  So yes, that is my fault for not making a license, but I don't think I will for now.  Maybe when Mystery GUI comes out, I'll have a better direction on where to go from there.

The main reason I said that was because, at the time, Misuterii was being really hassled by those TrollolOwls and players like them, and I didn't feel like having it there for griefers to grief on. I didn't care if others stole it or not, that wasn't a thing.

That said, Ookami is in perfectly working condition and *can* be released if I wanted it to be, so no need to work on remaking it. And if you want to make a mode called Ookami with the same ideas feel free, it's just a custom mode.

On Pucka's mode, I think it's working now (that glitch with the weapon is fixed, I think) and it's just headicons that were bugged in it, as far as I remember. Pretty sure it's playable on Frosty's server, and people just don't either list or vote for it. (Betting on the latter).

Also, Rokkenjima would be a fun mode to play if it gets remade.
